“Four Methods for Business Growth”

Business owners will come to me and say “I’m not growing, what’s going on?” and I’ll say well there’s four places to look. First of all
1. Do you lack direction or goals? What are your annual goals? People say 5 year goals, yes, 5 year goals are nice, but annual goals are critical. Annual goals, monthly goals, weekly goals. You’ve got to have direction. It’s very hard to get somewhere, if you don’t know exactly where you’re going.
The second thing a company that’s not growing, you have to look at:
2. Do you lack focus? Because I see people write those goals down, and never look back at them. You need to look at those goals daily. Am I on track? Am I getting there? Am I focused?
The third thing is a company will lack leadership:
3. Do you lack leadership? Do you have the right people in place? If you do, do you empower them? When I say do you empower you give them clear direction, do you give them the equipment necessary to get the job done? Then you give them feedback, good and bad feedback. Very specific on what needs to be done in order to assist you in growing.
Then the last thing I find is that people will be resistant to change:
4. Are you resistant to change? If you’re offering the same product, the same way you did 5 years ago, you’re resisting change. We’re changing fast, always ask, how can I do this better? How are people doing this today? Am I staying current?

I’d love to hear from you. What are you doing to grow your business?
